The brand new year of 2016 opened with the release of a brand new Bully Wee Band album entitled Like The Snow.
The first studio recorded album by the band in over 35 years, it demonstrates how they

As always the band were delighted to have Mr Phil Beer as their special guest for six of the dates this year.
The first being here at The David Hall in South Petherton.
This is Phil warming up in the dressing room - not sure whose pint it is.

Saturday, 16th January 2016

The organisers of the Shutlanger gig have a tradition of getting a special brew and naming it in honour of whoever may
happen to be the guest of the night. On this particular night the beer was called delightfully 'Vintage Wee'.
It did taste a lot better than our own personal experiences of any original samples.

Thanks to Graham Tofte for the photo and the brew

The Tithe Barn, Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire
Sunday, 17th January 2016

This was the night that Colin returned to the stage for the second half to find that his beloved Martin guitar had taken a backward somersault (with tuck) from off its stand, taking the neck violently away from the body and raising the action by some two inches.  Colin's reaction was somewhat similar (without the tuck) and the rest of the night was spent with the guit/voc section of the band staring blindly into space wondering how he was going to complete the rest of the tour with only one guitar.
To the rescue came one Sid Harvey who loaned Colin a very nice Faith guitar for the rest of the tour.
Many thanks to you Sid - you're a diamond.

The broken Martin guitar

Another knight in shining armour was guitarist/guitar making/guitar repairing friend of Colin's from Torquay - Nick Tilley.
Nick came to the Barnfield Theatre in Exeter and took Colin's poorly Martin back to his Guitar Hospital in Paignton.
This is a pic, taken by Nick, of the damage just before he set to work.

Our second night in Shutlanger, this time shared with  Phil.
The barrel of beer this time was give the name 'Phil Beer's Wee'. None of us have sufficient experience in that department
to say whether it was better or worse than the original on this occasion
